Superman herbals are “huge deal” and the US Food and Drug Administration has approved them as “safe and effective”, according to a company statement.
The US Food & Drug Administration said in a statement that the medicinal properties of the product were “well-documented” and that it “is well-received by both consumers and doctors”.
“The herbals have been approved for the treatment of chronic pain, inflammatory bowel disease, osteoarthritis, arthritis, epilepsy, and other chronic pain conditions.”
The herbals were “consistent with our best clinical practice and approved for this purpose by the FDA” and were “designed for patients with chronic pain and inflammation conditions,” the statement added.
The herball are “an easy to use and convenient way to deliver a powerful, high-quality and affordable treatment” for chronic pain.
“They are the perfect companion for patients who have chronic pain,” Dr Mark Dornan, head of the University of Pennsylvania’s Pain Clinic, told Reuters news agency.
Superman products are also used for asthma, allergies and arthritis, according to the FDA.
According to the National Institutes of Health, there are more than 30 million people worldwide with a chronic pain condition, which is the most common chronic pain disorder in the US.
About 3.3 million people die each year from the condition.
In the US, there were more than 8.2 million people with a life-threatening condition last year.
The condition was diagnosed in 6.2 per cent of Americans, according the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In Australia, there was a 26 per cent increase in the number of people with pain from 2010 to 2020.
According a report by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the proportion of people living with chronic chronic pain increased from 8 per cent to 12 per cent between 2005 and 2020.
Dr Dornans research also found that patients were more likely to be prescribed a pain reliever, such as acetaminophen, than they were to be on other medicines, including NSAIDs, opiates and other drugs.
